 no cure or understanding of occurcences even now
thought the cure would be to dance more, problem caused by hot blood but dancing deemed more helpful than bleeding
often got bands to play to help ward of the mania but it mostly just encouraged others to join in
thought to be a mass psychogenic illness or a prayer ritual of a group of travellers spread across the area

movements, to draw, described as jumping leaping linked with clothes clapping singing embracing each other, some in pairs with a third person
